Michael A. Callan, D.D.S., M.S., PC
Specializing in orthodontics, Dr. Michael Callan has been delivering outstanding care since 1991. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Creighton University before completing his dental education at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Callan received his master’s degree in orthodontics from the University of Michigan, fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming an orthodontist. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Callan is a visiting assistant professor at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in the Orthodontics Department.
Dr. Callan is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, and the Clinton County Dental Study Club.
In addition to supporting local schools and organizations, Dr. Callan also travels to impoverished countries 2-3 times a year through Medical Teams International to provide dental care to people in need. He usually travels to Cambodia twice a year to work in the orphanages, and has also been to the Philippines, Haiti, and South Africa, among others.
Dr. Callan and his wife, Laurie, have been married since 1985. They have three children, Kate, Laura and Will, and they enjoy spending time together at school and church functions. They also participate in outdoor activities, such as skiing, bicycling and running.
